Latest Transit Flights by Singapore Airlines Group through Singapore
Countries have implemented new regulations on outbound or inbound travelers that can transit through Singapore. Travelers can travel to Singapore if;
#1 Approved airlines
An individual arrives or transfers an approved Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) airline. Singapore Airlines Group includes Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Air France, Air Niugini, Asiana Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Garuda Indonesia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, Royal Brunei Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, and Turkish Airlines are allowed to use Singapore. They strictly won't enable unapproved airlines to transit to Singapore.
Mainland China / Hongkong
If the traveler under CAAS approved airlines from Mainland China or Hongkong SAR to Singapore remains. They can also use Changi Airport en route to their final destination. Unfortunately, passengers from Singapore airport cannot access destinations to Mainland China and Hongkong.
They are direct passengers from the SAG airlines in Singapore and India, including the VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai, which will continue as arranged by both governments. Transit from or to India is not yet allowed due to the deferred resumptions of the Indian government.
Singapore transit is not allowed from or to Malaysia under VTL flights. VTL passengers from other countries can transit to Singapore if fully vaccinated against Covid19, has a certificate of vaccination is written in English, and meet the requirements of their planned destination country. Individuals who are not citizens or permanent Singapore residents must have no travel history in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe within 14 days.
#2 Pre-departure Test
Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and other travelers must have a pre-departure test two days before the flight schedule.
For passengers traveling in connected flights within 24 hours, they must take the test two days before the schedule of departure. But, those exceeding 24 hours must take a test within two days from the last direct flight to Singapore.
#3 Ticket, Booking, and Transit Area
Book connecting flights in one ticket and comply with the requirements of the country you planned in your destination.
There are restrictions to passengers from category III and IV inside the Changi Airport and transit areas. But, they will have their respective areas.
#4 Safety Measures
Singapore Airlines has implemented safety measures for everyone. Practice social distancing and wear masks properly.
