The Luge is worth trying especially with friends or family. It is an adventurous ride that keeps you coming back for more. What are you waiting for? Book now!

The Skyline Luge on Sentosa Island is a thrilling ride for riders of different ages. It consists of four tracks- the Jungle Trail, Expedition Trail, Kupu Trail, and Dragon Tail- that slopes downhill to fulfill one’s need for speed. It uses a three-wheeled cart that you can control the speed of as it lets gravity do the rest.

WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR

It was during June of 2018 that my family and I went to Skyline Luge Sentosa and as expected, it was a warm day that truly made us glad we brought caps. Aside from hats and caps, we also found it a necessity to include sunscreen as well as umbrellas since most of the area is not covered especially when we rode on the skyride that took a few minutes to get to the top of the mountain for the luge to be experienced. Light clothing and comfortable covered shoes are must-haves since quite a walk is also needed in lining up and so that your footwear won’t be lost as you ride the skyride or the luge.

Of course, since there is a pandemic going on, a mask is mandatory.

BOOK YOUR VISIT!

Booking is now mandatory as of February 1st of 2021 with a limit of utmost two people per group. If booking was made via SRV or third party, one can book the time slot here: https://www.skylineluge.com/en/sentosa/3rd-party-bookings/

Ticket can be bought directly or via SRV here: https://www.skylineluge.com/en/sentosa/buy-tickets/

You have the option to buy 2, 3, and 4 Luge and Skyrides. In our case, as we had senior citizens in tow, we only opted for the 2 Luge and Skyride options.

Now, here's the catch. There are 4 Luge tracks. So if you want to take ALL tracks, then it would be ideal to get the 4 Luge and Skyride combo.

Here are the prices as of 2021:
2 Luge and Skyride = S$25 per person
3 Luge and Skyride = S$28 per person
4 Luge and Skyride = S$30 per person

HOW TO GET THERE

Skyline Luge Sentosa is located at 1 Imbiah Rd, Singapore 099692.

It has two entrances: Imbiah Lookout Entrance and Siloso Beach Entrance.

If you choose the Imbiah Lookout Entrance, there are two ways to arrive there, either by bus or by monorail. If you take the bus, take Bus A and go down at the Imbiah Lookout Bus Stop. If by monorail, take the Sentosa Express and go down at the Imbiah Station where the entrance is just a few walks away.

If you choose the Siloso Beach Entrance, there are three ways to arrive there, by bus, monorail, and tram. If you take the bus, ride Bus A or Bus B and go down to the Beach Station Bus Stop. If by monorail, take the Sentosa Express and go down at the Beach Station where the entrance is a few walks away. If by tram, you take the Siloso Beach Tram and go down at the Stop 1A where the entrance is a few walks away.

THE TRAILS

The trails in the ride are approximately 600+ m long with different curves to fulfill your adrenaline rush.

The Jungle Trail
The 628m long trail starts through a tunnel with elegant plant-life that seemingly further leads you to a way out of the city and into the jungle.

The Expedition Trail
The 658m long trail is truly thrill-seeking since its trail has exciting tunnels and longer slopes that twist and turn as you rush through Sentosa’s rainforest.

Kupu Kupu Trail
This 638m long trail translates to butterfly in Malay and runs through the mystical forest. Best fit for beginners due to its leisure trail and beautiful sights.

The Dragon Trail
This 688m long trail is the longest and most challenging track designed. It promises mythical dragons hiding in the forest along your track so go ahead and try to spot as many as you can!

HIGHLIGHT

You can take a ride at night! You heard that right. Ride your favorite tracks at night with the lights that make you feel transported to a whole new world.

INSIDER TIPS

Avoid peak hours and holidays to avoid larger crowds.

There's a photo op at the end of the finish line. So make sure you and your group are close to each other and you smile for the camera.

Also, the Skyride does not stop for anyone. So be quick to hop off the Skyride and quickly move to the side.

VERDICT

Once is truly never enough! No matter how many times you repeat the ride, it is still as thrilling and fun as the first time. Bring your family and friends with you. It is also safe enough for senior citizens.
