I know that the title talks about the public swimming pools in Singapore. However, I strongly believe that getting to know, as a side knowledge, the various types of swimming pools would come in handy - especially when you're far from the nearest public swimming pool.

Now on to business, for simplicity we'll just categories the swimming pools into three (3).

Singapore's public swimming pools or complexes are owned and operated by the Singapore Sports Council. These facilities are meant for public use, where they come in various types e.g., a wading pool, a teaching pool and a training pool. Moreover, some of the swimming complex have a dedicated facilities for elite training, typically used by the national teams in the sports of water polo, synchronized swimming and diving.
