Staying up north this long weekend? Admiralty Park in Woodlands is an easy, no-ticket option for families, with plenty of room for kids to run, climb and slide while the adults enjoy some shade and breeze.

What's there for families

NParks describes Admiralty Park as a 27-hectare park. It is known for its large playground area, and local guides and government social posts have highlighted its set of 26 slides, said to be the most in any Singapore park. Besides the playground, there are open lawns, paths for walking and cycling, and a nature area for a quieter stroll.

Tips for today

  • Go early or after about 4pm. Midday in November can be hot, and the playground has limited shade.
  • Bring water, sunscreen, a cap and a change of clothes for sweaty kids.
  • The nature area closes at 7pm, so plan any trail walk before then.
  • If it rains, play areas can be slippery. Check the weather before you head out.

Make it a half-day trip

Woodlands Waterfront Park and Marsiling Park are both nearby if you want a second stop. Marsiling Park is also close to the Marsiling tunnels, a part of local history that older kids may find interesting. Do check the opening arrangements for any heritage site before you go.

More to Do Nearby: Malls, Food and Community Events

Malls

  • Causeway Point is Woodlands' main mall, next to Woodlands MRT. A handy air-conditioned stop if the afternoon gets too hot or rainy.
  • Kampung Admiralty, beside Admiralty MRT, is a community complex with shops, a hawker centre and green spaces, and it is within walking distance of Admiralty Park's southern side.

Food

A published Woodlands South and Admiralty food guide lists the 43-stall Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre as a good family option. Stall lineups and hours change, so go early for lunch, especially on a holiday weekend. We could not verify any single "hidden gem" stall for today, so we have left names out rather than guess.
