Looking for a cheap and cheerful weekday outing with a little one? Golden Village's Kids Watch Free promotion lets a child aged 6 and below catch a movie at no charge when an adult buys a standard ticket. It runs until Friday, 20 November 2026, so there are only a couple of weeks left to use it.

How the deal works

For every standard adult ticket you buy, one child aged 6 or below gets a free ticket to the same movie and the same session. Two adults can therefore bring two children along.

The conditions to know before you go

  • Sessions: Monday to Friday, for sessions that start before 2pm.
  • Films: G, PG and PG13 titles only.
  • Cinemas: All GV cinemas except GV Cineleisure, according to the Families for Life listing.
  • Walk-in only: Tickets must be bought at the cinema. Online and iGV bookings do not qualify.
  • Both of you must be there: The adult and child need to be present at purchase.
  • Proof of age: Bring the child's birth certificate (a physical copy or a screenshot). It may be checked at purchase, at the usher point and during checks.
  • Not valid for: Gold Class and Gold Class Express, Sneaks, premieres, premium-priced or special events, film festivals, marathons, Hindi and Tamil films, group or corporate bookings, movie vouchers and complimentary or VIP passes. It cannot be combined with other discounts.

Dates that do not count

The promotion does not apply on school holidays or on public holidays and their eves. Within the validity period, this includes Monday, 9 November 2026, which is a public holiday. The school holidays that begin on 21 November fall after the promotion ends. If you are planning a trip, weekdays like 10 to 13 and 16 to 20 November are the likeliest windows, subject to GV's terms.

A note on the end date

Most sources we checked say the promotion ends on 20 November 2026. The Families for Life listing shows 3 December 2026. Since the school holiday blackout starts on 21 November anyway, it is safest to plan around 20 November and confirm with GV's box office or website before you head down.

Planning tips

Check the film's rating and session times on the GV website or app first, and go a little early, as the free tickets are subject to seat availability. GV may change the terms without prior notice.
