V Hotel Lavender Review: My 5D4N Stay
On August 26-30, 2022, I had the privilege to experience V Hotel Lavender as my home away from home.
This hotel is conveniently built on top of an MRT station and is surrounded by food courts and malls in its area within walking distance which is a plus especially to foodies out there who seek various cuisines such as Indian, Malaysian, Korean and much more.
Lobby and Breakfast Hall
The lobby is spacious and the staff are inviting where the main area is just an open area for those guests entering and exiting the building. On the left side are seats for those who need to rest or wait and on the right side are the multiple elevators. Also be warned though that the hotel tends to be crowded so waiting for a space on the elevator despite it being numerous is most likely. On a few nights I was lucky to have few to no queues on the elevator but there was a certain night when the queue stretched towards the entrance and lobby and there was no longer order or a proper queue for people to follow, instead it was survival of the fittest.
Boasting its four different types of room which are Superior Queen, Superior Twin, Triple, and Premier Queen, it truly does offer your needs and more. Fortunately for me, I booked the Superior Queen which, although promised the large and comfortable bed and great view, was unmistakable to be quite smaller than what pictures lead on. Despite this minor predicament, it was still a great room with WiFi– the log-in credentials being on the television.
Pool and Gym
Moreover, the pool overlooking the city and glass-structured gym on the fourth floor leaves you wanting to stay in the hotel rather than out with its cool winds and great facilities. Just be warned that the pool can be cold and the gym is rather limited to a few individuals at a time. The dining area is also located on the same floor where guests in the morning line up for the buffet which is jam-packed especially in the middle of morning.
All in all, it was a truly great stay that makes me want to come back for more. I’m, in fact, giving it 3.5 Merlions out of 5.
