On October 23, Sunday, Jeff was walking with his dog named Chestnut in their regular route. But, something has frightened the dog and Chestnut was able to break away from his leash. Jeff didn't see it coming, and he didn't notice where his dog went. He continued to search for him, but he wasn't there.

He realized he couldn't find the dog all by himself. Feeling worried and anxious about what might happen to Chestnut, he sought help at the Chained Dog Awareness in Singapore. It is a Facebook group that helps to rescue abused dogs and other dog concerns.

The Chained Dog Awareness in Singapore posted an image, dog's behavior, and the numbers to contact if they saw Chestnut somewhere.

Luckily, the members of the group have shared Chestnut's photos with other groups in Singapore. Other than that, The individuals who noticed him took images and videos and posted them back to the group to update his location, which helped track him down.

It was almost dark on Sunday, but Alisha Chen recognized the dog that was running as Chestnut. It was furiously running after the cars along Bedok South Avenue and decided to record a video. She then decided to post it online as an update. The next day, a member gave another update that it was seen at the Feeders in Tampines North and East Coast Beach the following day.

Due to circumstances, Jeff cannot cope up to Chestnut's location but hopes he'll find him soon enough.

On October 27, Jeff was eager to bring Chestnut home. By having the updates from the other member, he had a hint of where to go. He went into the location and brought the food he had cooked for Chestnut and the other treats. Jeff arrived at the location in the morning and waited for Chestnut to come around. It was almost noon, but he was still not around. Realizing that Chestnut is not yet ready to show himself, Jeff decides to head back home, but Chestnut appeared from the bushes.

Jeff was glad that his dog was safe and found after the fifth day he went missing. He offered him food, but his dog felt scared and cautious about his surroundings. But even so, Jeff didn't give up. After a while, Chestnut came forward and ate the food but headed back to the bushes. Jeff continued to talk to Chestnut and later on, Chestnut recognized Jeff. That's when Jeff attached the leash.

Jeff was glad that Chestnut was with him right now and thanked all the members who shared Chestnut's photo and updated his whereabouts.
