It has been two years since Singapore Airlines hired individuals, and now, they’re accepting applications for their cabin crew.

Singapore Airlines clarified that they need cabin crews to add in their workforce requirements due to the rising demand for air travel, especially since the government of Singapore has opened up to the fully vaccinated travel lane (VTL).

In January 2020, they had to cut the cost of early retirement and release it to their employers and stopped accepting applicants due to the Covid19 pandemic. Later in the same year, September, they have to cut down 4,300 positions in their airlines, including SIA, SilkAir, and Scoot.

According to the SIA spokesperson, "Most of our pilots and cabin crew have returned to active duty with SIA," and they need to replace the crews who have quit within two years. The spokesperson also elucidated that the applicants will be shortlisted based on their sustainability and merit in the role.

The successful applicants will train under the training program within four months with product knowledge, including food & beverage, service procedures, passenger handling, deportment & grooming, language & communication skills, safety equipment procedures, and first aid.

If you want to apply for a service crew position in SIA, you must meet the requirements as follows:
Minimum age of 18 years old due to legislative requirements
Pleasant personality and service-oriented
Fluent in English with good communication skills
Minimum height requirement of at least 1.58m for females and 1.65m for males to carry out safety and emergency procedures onboard
Minimum qualification of 5 GCE 'O' Level credits (including English) or Higher Nitec and above
Former SIA Cabin Crew are welcome to apply

In addition, the applicant must begin within three months in their company based on the day of application.

The SIA also confirmed that they are open for online applicants and conduct direct recruitment. On the other hand, they informed applicants that they are not engaged in third-party agencies or companies for recruitment.
