Are you one of the VTL travelers and traveling to Singapore soon? As we know, passengers must submit a negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) to travel and be supervised by approved clinics or hospitals. Luckily, you don't have to go through with that hassle anymore.

On January 21, 2022, the Multi-Ministry Task Force (MMTF) updated their Covid19 testing for VTL travelers' border measures and facilitated travel for those who recovered from Covid19.

VTL travelers transited or entered both land and air before January 23 to administer self-supervised ART on their 2nd day and 7th day in Singapore if they leave their accommodation or residence.

Starting on January 23, those VTL entering or transiting through the air in Singapore still need to undergo an On-Arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (PCR) while ART for VTL traveling inland. Both travelers need to provide a self-administered or unsupervised ART to leave their residence place or accommodation.

If an individual tested positive for the ART upon arrival or unsupervised ART, with a mild symptom or asymptomatic will belong to low-risk individuals. They won't require another confirmatory test and must recover under Health Protocol 2. Meanwhile, those who are positive and unwell must see a doctor for medical advice.

VTL Travelers Recovered from Covid19

Those fully vaccinated and recently recovered from Covid19 within 90 days won't require all tests and SHN but should present documentary proof. They have a high level of immunity, and reinfection is low.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated and recently recovered won't require a pre-departure test if they can provide documentary proof and other necessary documents. Unfortunately, they won't be allowed to go in border restrictions areas.

Border Measures

It is also essential for you to know the border measures. You can check SafeTravel for updated border restrictions and the type of category your country was.

Non-VTL travelers from Category I, II, and III must have a pre-departure ART or PCR, while Category IV needs a pre-departure PRC Test. All Tests are required to administer two days before departure in Singapore. All countries must take an on-arrival PCR test.
