Latest Update for Covid19 Safety Measures as of November 22, 2021

The new safety measures were announced on November 21, 2021, by the Multi-Ministry Task Force. Based on the week-to-week monitoring made to the past week, it has shown that the community cases have remained in ranges from 0.8 to 1.0, while the daily case is less than 3,000 a day. Among the 99% cases, the majority are recovering at their homes and have mild to no symptoms.

Under the National Vaccination Programme, as of November 20, 2021, 94% of the eligible population and 85% of the total population are received a complete regimen. Meanwhile, 86% have received at least one dose of vaccine in the total population, and the remaining 23% had booster shots. Due to the stabilized situation and its improvement, the safe Management Measures (SMMs) are easing community safety measures starting on November 22, 2021.

Food and Beverages Establishments
As for the previous safety measures, only two individuals in a group can dine in several Food and Beverages (F&B) establishments regardless of the household, but now, five individuals are allowed.

Coffee shops and Hawker Centers
A group of five or less can also dine in regardless of the household in places that apply the Vaccination-Differentiared Safe Management (VDS) checks. If the hawker center or coffee shop has not placed VDS, at least two vaccinated individuals can dine in regardless of the household.

Wedding Solemnisation and Receptions
The wedding couples and singing members (maximum of 10 individuals) can unmask in their wedding reception or solemnization and while singing. Still, they must maintain a safe distance of 2 meters from other attendees when unmasked. The couple is now allowed to dance at the wedding. All attendees, including the wedding couple, must undergo an Anti-Rapid Test or Pre-Event Test 24 hours before the event that the venue operators must supervise.

Social gatherings and interactions
Five individuals may now visit other households and, homeowners can accept visitors up to five persons.

According to Annex-A's Community Measures from November 22, 2021, onwards, "children aged 12 years and below, recovered individuals, and unvaccinated individuals with a valid negative pre-event test (PET) result can be included in the group of five".

"If there is more than one child aged 12 years and below in the group of 5 persons, all children must be from the same household. An individual aged more than 12 years may sit together with a child from a different household," it added
