Bus Captain receives warm thank yous from passengers
A well-deserved thank you.
Not all bus drivers are good at dealing with passengers' needs. But, some bus captains are eager to extend their help to the people who are about to commuters.
This SMRT bus captain received praise from his regular passengers and shared his noble actions online.
The person who shared his gesture said that the bus driver was friendly towards his commuters and ensured they were welcome aboard. He often greets the commuters and reminds them politely to wear their mask correctly.
According to him, the bus captain of 931 at Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub was also kind to animals, as there was a time whenever he saw birds at the bus stop and horns. "When he sees birds at the bus stop, he will sound his horn to get the birds to fly off and does not crash into them like what I've seen other bus captains do."
At some other time, a simple act of kindness is all we need. There is no measurement in helping others. Aside from this bus captain, other drivers are also taking good care of their passengers.
One of the others was Captain Khairulshafiq's bus service 187, which concluded as a polite driver.
His regular commuter shared to Stomp, "I am a commuter who takes bus captain Khairulshafiq's bus service 187 frequently and have noticed all his small actions which would warm countless of commuters' hearts!"
He also added that he always stops to ensure that the elderly have a smooth onboard and do not have trouble getting into the bus. He also said he waits for elders and pregnant women to sit in their respective seats before moving.
"Besides providing good service, bus captain Khairulshafiq also keeps his bus extremely clean. Good service can't be forced, and it must come from the bottom of your heart!" he stated.
Well, this gesture is barely enough to feel comfortable on the bus, but sometimes, some incidents are out of hand, especially if you're traveling alone and left your wallet at home.
An older man forgot his wallet and EZLink card at home, which is familiar to older people (forgetful). He began to panic as he had nothing in his pocket, but the bus driver gave him $10.
"He told me to keep the change, in case I might need it for the day. He did it full of honesty and compassion towards a senior citizen like myself, smiling graciously."
He was so thankful for the bus captain Prasad of the SBS Transit for his help.
"He is truly an SBS Transit bus captain full of passion for his job and a heart full of gold. SBS Transit must be proud of you. Keep up the marvelous job!" he added.
Kudos to all the bus captains that give compassion, consideration, and help.
